If you can just practice on 2 phones to see how easy it is. I have 13 locations with the NEC SV8100 and I am currently working on the upgrade to SV9100, the UX5000 was replaced by the SV8100 and then SV9100. If you have phones with 60 button DSS (side car) the DSS will not move using swap just the phone. If you need to know what the port numbers are on the phone and have display phones you may be able to identify them by pressing the 'help' key then '0'. You can move phone A to B to C to D but I would recommend doing 1 at a time then check them because it is very easy to get confused and end up with phones in the wrong spots. If you have access to Web Pro you will be able to identify what port each phone is on. If you are moving a phone to a location that is not live with a existing extension this will not work and you will have to move cross connect at the system or the IDF. This means that you would move phone A to phone B and Phone B to Phone A.
Not sure if you have figured this out but it will only work if you are 'swapping' phones. Swap is very easy to use and you can use a button on the phone and also use it with web pro.
